Founder and Brewer Andy Tan grew up in a family who founded the first seafood company and restaurant in Medan city, Indonesia during the 80’s.

He developed his passion for foods early in his life mainly because of his father who loves cooking. Growing up seeing live seafood being brought fresh daily, Andy understands using the freshest ingredients is key to both cooking and brewing.

Andy arrived in Atlanta in 1997 to pursue his education and eventually graduated with a computer information system degree from Georgia State University.

He started his passion for craft beer in 2009 after helping his brother to build a micro distillery in Indonesia known as The Royal Brewhouse. The science behind fermentation and the varieties of brewing ingredients available excite him. This inevitably led him to try a variety of drinks especially craft beers which included visiting local breweries and brewpubs to try local variations of craft beers.

So drawn he was to the brewing world and the techniques brewers used to bring out a diversity of flavors in their brews, Andy began learning how to brew his own beers. Throughout the years, he won more than 50 medals from various local homebrewing competitions and was named brewer of the year in 2012 by the oldest homebrew club in Georgia, Coverthops, in which he is still a member of today. Andy is also a certified BJCP judge.

Inspired by his childhood memories of kitchen, Andy and Executive Chef Dony Raymond work together to create modern Asian-fusion dishes showcased through featured Rawbar and Robata grill items that compliment house handcrafted beers.

Our mission is to create a memorable dining experience for our clienteles and to make this first Asian fusion brewpub in Georgia a new unique concept.
